Facilitated by Greg Adkins from Travellers Aid in association with the William Angliss Institute, this workshop will provide essential training to ensure your business is welcoming and inclusive to all members of the community.

The training will give participants confidence to:

  • Interact with and assist people who are living with a disability
  • Improve the workplace delivery of equitable, consistent and person-focused customer service
  • Provide leadership that encourages positive behavioural adaptations to service quality
  • Understand the legal responsibilities of service providers to make reasonable adjustments to their place of business.

Greg Adkins' professional life is a unique 360-degree view of the disability sector. He first worked with disability policy during the Hawke Federal government then the Cain/Kirner Victoria State Governments and later as a Councillor and Mayor of the former City of Ringwood.

Since 2003 he has worked across front-line delivery through to coordination and management in the disability support and advocacy sectors, developing and delivering training in conjunction with all roles.

Greg joined Travellers Aid in 2011 and continues to deliver front-line services, develop and deliver training including Travellers Aid's Community Travel Training and Disability Awareness Training. Greg achieves life-work balance through a successful transition from his sports career as an Ironman.
