After 5 hugely successful events in Europe and North America, Music Cities Convention will be heading to Melbourne, Australia for its first ever Australasian edition!

The city boasts a strong live music culture, a diverse slate of music festivals, renowned music educators and passionate audiences. This is backed by the support of government at both city and state levels.
This edition's theme will be Music as Infrastructure; using best practice for a world music cities model and inserting music into every aspect of human life.
The event brings together 300 global leaders from government to academia to the music industry to showcase best practices on the use of music - and all its variants - to improve city life. There will be 40+ speakers from Europe, Asia, Australasia, Africa, North America and South America. Topics will range from 'music policy in Asia' to 'the visitor economy' to 'the role of landowners' and much more. Plus, there will be a very special live music experience for all ticket holders - details to be announced soon.
